Our Story

Positive Outlook was originally founded as a nonprofit organization in 1984 to help and support the underserved citizens of Compton, Lynwood, Watts and South Los Angeles. From our inception to now, we provide safe and secure housing for the unhoused, as well as for individuals recently released from both jail and prison (reentry). 

Clients are offered various self help services such as group therapy, anger management, resume coaching, financial literacy, job readiness, proper health care, transportation assistance and long term housing placement.

Positive Outlook is committed to providing a culturally diverse living community that does not discriminate based on religion, race, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, physical or mental disabilities…

In other words, our doors and arms are open to anyone who needs us!!!!!!
